farm infrastructure relief fund update

We have been overwhelmed by the generous support of this community. Over the past three weeks we have raised and distributed almost $19,000 to 18 farmers who were effected by the strong winds on March 3, 2023.

Collectively, the funds requested exceeded $150,000. We recognize that the checks sent will not cover all of the storm damage. It won’t replace the famers’ time, or compensate for their discouragement and dismay as they assess the losses and devise ways to continue with spring planting. But every bit helps–not only to rebuild, but to strengthen our good food network.

The Tennessee Local Food Summit is about exactly that–connection and education around a resilient local food economy.

If you have not yet made a donation, it's not too late. We will keep the donation page open and distribute new funds as available. Thank you to the 100+ individuals and businesses who have supported our farmers in this time of need.
