Caroline Ideus, co-director of The Northwest Tennessee Local Food Network, has worked with 9 school districts that have been recipients of the USDA Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grants. She has worked with producers, educators, and school administration to promote the benefits of farm-to-school programming and procurement in the school system.  She believes that schools have the potential to be the catalyst of a thriving local food economy that benefits everyone.
