1000 Farms Initiative with Dr. Jonathan Lundgren
Ecdysis Foundation is embarking on year 4 of one of the most ambitious agroecology experiments ever conducted, researching regenerative systems across North America.
The Ecdysis team has already conducted research at over 1,300 farms and this summer will begin working with farmers in Tennessee to measure soil, water, microbial life, invertebrates, birds, plants, yields/nutrition, and socioeconomics.
The data collected– valuing around $7500 worth of information– will all be given back to the farmers for free and contextualized.
In this informational video, Ecdysis founder & director, Dr. Jonathan Lundgren, shares about the project and how to get involved.
